Welcome to the paradise of luxury fashion and crystal embroidery! Alexandre Vauthier designed a heeled capsule collection with Giuseppe Zanotti for the Spring-Summer 2021 Haute Couture collection. Signing a long-term partnership together, the two brands exhibited their first joint designs at Paris Couture Fashion Week.

The meeting of Vauthier, known as the rock’n’roll designer of the couture world, with the rebellious Giuseppe Zanotti of the shoe world has revealed a wonderful collaboration. Using their mastership in production and design, the brands carried the Couture spirit to the shoes. Zanotti, who designed 90 different styles for Vauthier’s Spring 2021 Couture and Autumn 2021 collections, often featured heels. Zanotti, who also creates flat shoes and flat sandals, has prepared a capsule collection compatible with Vauthier’s voluminous, colorful, sequined and stone designs.

Using the existing collections and archives to capture an aesthetic in line with Vauthier’s aesthetics, Zanotti reinterpreted the Jill platform and embroidered shoes. Speaking to Footwear News, Vauthier said, “Our universes are both close and complement each other, so the models created are in perfect harmony,” and Zanotti said, “I love Vauthier’s Parisian concept of women, contemporary but haute couture. “We both love women who feel strong and bold in clothes and shoes,” he said. Inspired by the Paris nightlife, the Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2021 Couture fashion show video was shot at Le Palace, the unforgettable nightclub of the 80s.

Vauthier and Zanotti, who met at a dinner party in Paris a few years ago, said that they designed the collection while in social isolation like the rest of the world. “The global pandemic has pushed all of us to change our method, from production to methods, from first drafts to collections, from our sales channels to our communication. Technology is part of the future, we will find ways to adapt our knowledge and capabilities to the new world, ”said Zanotti.“ Generally, it is very difficult to create something without working one-on-one. But, thanks to technology, even the most impossible things can be achieved, ”he added.

Vauthier, who previously worked with Amina Muaddi for the shoe collection, ended their partnership in 2020. The Vauthier and Zanotti collection, which will be ready in May, can be purchased by special order.
