H&M and Lee took a holistic approach by examining every stage of denim production. As with H & M’s first 100% recycled cotton jeans, 80% of which are made from post-industrial waste and 20% from post-consumer waste, fabric is very important. In addition, cotton-free denim produced with renewable hand-made fiber, water-saving dye and low-impact wash, verified by third parties for lower water, chemical and energy consumption.

A collaboration that is holistic in all design and manufacturing processes, from H & M’s first 100% recycled cotton jeans to non-leather backpacks made of cork and jacquard paper. For the first time on hm.com, H&M will share Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) data showing the impact of water, CO2 and energy consumed by each denim garment from raw material to final use.

This transparency is matched by the positivity of fashion, with loose-fitting cocooning silhouettes and workwear styles influenced by Lee’s esteemed legacy. Lee x H&M, a collection of women’s, men’s and children’s collections, will be available on hm.com from January 28 and at selected H&M stores as of February 25.

For the women’s collection, wide and loose jeans reflect the ’90s history, while Lee’s classic biker jacket has been redesigned with an oversized Cocoon shape. Denim corsets create a feminine vibe, while overalls and tops bring a functional workwear flair with Texloop ™ RCOT ™ Recycled Cotton jersey pieces for a holistic Lee x H&M look.

 

In the men’s collection, business jackets made with Lee’s genuine design are indispensable in the wardrobe. The comfortable five-pocket jeans are made from 100% recycled cotton, while the comfortable carpenter jeans are made with water-saving paint and 100% Tencel ™ Lyocell cellulose yarns. To complement this more sustainable collection, suitable overalls, fisherman hats, shoulder bags and thick fabric jersey pieces were added.
